In a significant move aimed at boosting investment opportunities, Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, has issued Decision No. (14) for the year 2025, establishing a “Task Force for Attracting and Inviting Investments” to the Emirate of Ajman. This strategy is designed to enhance the emirate’s investment climate and increase its economic competitiveness both regionally and internationally, aligning with the ambitious goals of Ajman Vision 2030.
The decision entrusts Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, a member of the Executive Council, with overseeing the group’s activities and guiding its efforts. He is also authorized to issue necessary regulatory decisions and appoint a chairperson from among the group members. The task force comprises a distinguished group of members from various relevant investment sectors, including Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Marwan Hussein Mohammed Al Shaali, Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Saif Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Ismail Abdul Salam Naqi, Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashimi, Omar Mohammed Lotah, Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi, and Obaid Ismail Obaid Al Ali.
Mandate and Goals of the Task Force
The task force is expected to carry out several essential functions, which include proposing priority global markets for attracting high-quality investments, cataloging and documenting investment opportunities in critical sectors such as industry, infrastructure, education, digital economy, and tourism. Moreover, the group will develop a suite of incentives and legislative facilitation measures tailored to meet the needs of investors. It will also organize programs to host economic and official delegations and design a digital marketing plan that highlights the competitive positioning of the emirate while participating in major international economic events to enhance Ajman’s visibility on the global investment map.
Significance of the Initiative
This decision continues the momentum achieved during Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi’s official visit to Chongqing, China, last May, which opened new channels of collaboration with strategic partners. Such efforts significantly strengthen the emirate’s presence in sought-after global markets moving forward. The directive emphasizes the importance of aligning the group’s activities with the strategic outlook of Ajman Vision 2030, which aims to create a competitive business environment and foster a growth-oriented investment climate.
Performance Measurement and Future Prospects
The results of the task force’s activities will be assessed annually through clear performance indicators, including the volume of new investments, the number of quality companies attracted, the contribution of these investments to the local economy, and investor satisfaction with the business climate in the emirate. Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi remarked, “We are working under the guidance of Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi to build an integrated operational system that aligns with future trends in the emirate, focusing on partnerships with global markets to positively impact society and quality of life.”
With a two-year mandate subject to renewal, the task force’s performance will be evaluated biannually. The General Secretariat of the Executive Council will provide institutional and administrative support to the group, coordinating with federal and local entities to ensure effective collaboration with the economic policies of the emirate and the nation. The establishment of this task force is part of a holistic strategy adopted by the Ajman government to enhance the emirate’s investment attractiveness and stimulate high-quality project influx, contributing to local economic diversification and reinforcing Ajman’s position as a promising destination on the global investment landscape.
The decision is effective immediately and will be published in the official gazette, with necessary directives disseminated to relevant authorities for implementation.
