The Federal Youth Authority has launched the “UAE Summer 2025” program today under the slogan “Our Summer is Fun… Our Youth are Creative.” This initiative aims to cultivate a generation of young leaders who can confidently represent the UAE both locally and internationally. By providing an innovative summer environment, the program will enable students to develop essential economic skills, broaden their academic horizons, and actively engage in community service. This effort reflects the nation’s commitment to investing in the youth’s potential through educational experiences that align with their aspirations and national priorities.
Program Goals and Objectives
The “UAE Summer 2025” program is designed to enhance youth skills by fostering an interactive environment that encourages critical thinking and creativity. The initiative offers diverse training content to support personal and professional development while enabling participants to explore new fields. Additionally, it aims to empower young people with educational opportunities that resonate with the labor market’s demands. This program also seeks to instill a strong sense of national identity among the youth, enhancing their sense of belonging through tangible experiences that connect them to the country’s heritage and values, inspiring them to contribute positively to society.
A Holistic Experience
On this occasion, Khaled Al-Naimi, Director of the Federal Youth Authority, stated, “The UAE’s approach to youth has always been forward-looking, embodying a sustainable investment in their potential as the foundation of ongoing development.” He further emphasized that this initiative serves as a manifestation of the leadership’s vision to empower young people and prepare them for future challenges, offering them genuine experiences that shape their characters and expand their horizons through high-quality programs and an ideal environment that motivates them to become active contributors to society.
Engagement and Participation
Jasim Al-Balooshi, Director of Youth Centers at the Federal Youth Authority, noted, “The ‘UAE Summer 2025’ program is designed to be flexible and inclusive, reaching youth across various emirates while addressing their diverse needs.” This extensive program combines morning and evening sessions in community locations, providing multiple options for young people to engage in activities that fit their schedules and interests. Al-Balooshi added that the program content directly relates to national values, future skills, and Emirati identity, focusing on practical experiences that allow youth to learn from real-world scenarios while participating in a stimulating environment.
Activities and Areas of Focus
The “UAE Summer 2025” program will run from July 7 to August 8, 2025, over five consecutive weeks, targeting youth aged 15 to 35 years. Special tracks will be designated for specific groups, including people of determination, residents of remote areas, and individuals in correctional facilities. This makes it one of the largest summer initiatives on a national level, ensuring broad geographic distribution and inclusivity among beneficiaries.
The program offers a wide array of activities, including specialized courses, interactive workshops, sports competitions, panel discussions, field trips, vocational training, and cultural events. It focuses on six main areas: future skills, national identity and values, entrepreneurship, the Arabic language, health and quality of life, and family and community. This comprehensive approach covers knowledge, skills, and values simultaneously.
Proposed venues for the youth programs include youth centers, approved youth spaces, community councils, and partner organizations, along with outdoor areas like sports fields and beaches. Each program’s venue will be chosen based on its nature, target audience, and available spaces in different regions to ensure optimal results.
The Federal Youth Authority encourages all young individuals in the UAE to register and participate in the program through its digital platforms on social media, inviting them to join this inspiring national experience that paves the way towards a brighter future grounded in empowerment, knowledge, and belonging.
