In a significant humanitarian effort, 10,000 winter aid packages have arrived in Al-Arish, Egypt, courtesy of the Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Endowment, may he rest in peace. These packages, which comprise 70,000 articles of clothing and heating supplies, are set to be transported into the Gaza Strip as part of the “Winter Clothing” initiative launched by Operation “Al-Faris Al-Sham 3”. This programme aims to support Palestinian families in facing the harsh winter conditions they endure.
The initiative is designed to assist one million beneficiaries in the Gaza Strip by providing essential winter necessities to alleviate the hardships faced by Palestinian families in the current humanitarian crisis.
The logistics team from Operation “Al-Faris Al-Sham 3” is diligently coordinating the preparation and movement of the aid from the humanitarian assistance centre in Al-Arish to Gaza. This effort is part of a comprehensive system that ensures the continuous flow of humanitarian aid reaches those in need.
The winter aid packages were assembled during an event held at Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities, featuring widespread participation from students and community volunteers. This collaborative effort exemplifies the values of solidarity and generosity, uniting humanitarian, educational institutions, and community members in support of their Palestinian brethren.
The initiative reflects the United Arab Emirates’ steadfast commitment to providing relief to those affected and responding to the needs of the less fortunate. The contribution from the Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Endowment to the “Winter Clothing” initiative underscores the UAE’s ongoing dedication to fulfilling the basic needs of Palestinians and alleviating their suffering.
