The Khawfikan Club for the Disabled has successfully identified four promising athletic talents among students with disabilities during a field programme held in collaboration with Al-Nu’man Bin Maqran School. This event, organised on Tuesday, brought together 30 students, all aimed at uncovering athletic abilities and enhancing their skills while promoting integration into sports and community activities.
Fostering Talent and Integration
Abdulaziz Ahmad Al Hamadi, Chairman of the Technical Affairs and Talent Development Committee at the Khawfikan Club for the Disabled, stated that this initiative is part of the club’s commitment to expanding its community partnerships with educational institutions. He emphasised the importance of collaborating to discover sporting talents among students with disabilities, which supports their development.
Supporting Early Talent Discovery
In an exclusive interview with “Sharjah 24,” Al Hamadi elaborated on the programme’s objectives, noting that it aims to identify talents at an early age and guide students towards suitable sporting activities based on their abilities. This approach is designed to equip them with the necessary skills to excel in sports. “We strive to provide opportunities for disabled students to practice sports that will refine their skills and help them achieve high levels of athletic excellence,” he remarked.
Enhancing Community Engagement Through Education
Al Hamadi further highlighted that collaboration with educational institutions plays a crucial role in promoting community integration. It broadens participation in sports among students with disabilities, allowing them to showcase their potential and benefit from programmes that aid in skill development and capability building.
The Khawfikan Club for the Disabled continues to champion the inclusion of individuals with disabilities, demonstrating a commitment to their growth and achievement in the sporting realm.
