Mark your calendars for October 10, as the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai prepares to host a thrilling night of electronic music featuring the renowned Benny Benassi and MORTEN, alongside local talent DJ Slim. This event marks the third edition of FREQUENCY 971, promising a vibrant mix of sounds that electronic music aficionados won’t want to miss.
A Diverse Line-up for an Unforgettable Night
FREQUENCY 971 brings together three distinctive artists, each contributing their unique sound to the stage. Benny Benassi is synonymous with the electro-house genre, famously recognised for his iconic track “Satisfaction.” With a career spanning over two decades, Benassi has transcended the club scene to perform at prestigious festivals worldwide. MORTEN, on the other hand, is a leading figure in the Future Rave movement, a genre he developed in collaboration with David Guetta, bringing high-energy beats to the forefront. Completing the line-up is DJ Slim, showcasing homegrown talent with a set reflective of Dubai’s vibrant music scene.
Benny Benassi: An Icon in Electronic Music
Benny Benassi’s influence on the electronic music landscape cannot be overstated. The release of “Satisfaction” in 2002 was a defining moment, catapulting him to international fame. Since then, his extensive catalogue has continued to make waves, with hits like “Cinema” — later remixed by Skrillex for a Grammy-winning version — and collaborations featuring names like Madonna, Chris Brown, and John Legend. Benassi’s high-profile performances at major festivals such as Coachella, EDC, Tomorrowland, and Ultra further cement his status as a powerhouse in the industry.
MORTEN: The Future of Rave
Joining Benny Benassi is MORTEN, a Danish DJ and producer at the forefront of the Future Rave genre. Known for his heavy, cinematic sound, MORTEN has made a name through collaborations with artists like ARTBAT, RAYE, Aloe Blacc, and Clementine Douglas. As a regular performer at iconic festivals like Tomorrowland and Ultra, his set is poised to deliver a powerful musical experience.
