In a concerted effort to empower national talents and broaden their career pathways, the Dubai Government Human Resources Department continued its participation in the 25th UAE Careers Exhibition, titled “Vision 2026,” on its second day. The Dubai Government’s platform showcases opportunities from 34 governmental entities, facilitating Emirati talent’s understanding of government job sectors, enabling them to connect with participating organisations, and explore paths aligned with their qualifications and aspirations.
High Demand for Government Opportunities
During the exhibition’s first day, the Dubai Government platform recorded an impressive 6,961 job applications submitted by Emirati citizens. Among these, 2,111 Emiratis applied, along with 288 new Emirati candidates entering the job market.
From Interest to Empowerment
Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director-General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, highlighted that the first day’s figures reflect a notable enthusiasm from Emirati talents who are increasingly interested in government job opportunities. He emphasised that this interaction underlines the importance of continuously enhancing the job seeker experience and aligning their aspirations with available opportunities and career pathways.
“We aim for job seekers’ participation in ‘Vision’ to transform into a genuine step in their professional journey,” he stated. “This initiative allows them to gain broader insight into available opportunities, engage directly with government entities, and take clearer steps toward their future careers. The Dubai Government platform simultaneously grants us a more profound understanding of national talents’ expectations, assisting us in developing initiatives and pathways that better connect with their needs and the requirements of government entities, thereby enhancing the readiness of Emirati talents for the future.”
Diverse Career Pathways in Archaeology
On the second day, the Dubai Government platform featured a lecture titled “Diverse Career Pathways in Archaeology,” presented by Zainab Salmeen from the Archaeology Department within the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai. The session shed light on the variety of disciplines and career paths linked to the archaeology sector.
The lecture detailed the journey of an archaeological find, from discovery and study to preservation, management, and display. It reviewed a range of specialisations that interconnect in this field, spanning sciences, engineering, history, heritage, technology, data, design, and project management. Furthermore, it highlighted the role of modern technologies in advancing archaeological work, including 3D scanning, augmented and virtual reality, and artificial intelligence. These developments open up diverse career avenues for national talents that combine knowledge, technology, and creativity in the service of heritage.
