The exhibit employed interactive display techniques, archaeological discoveries, historical photographs, and storytelling to illuminate the shared memories of the place and its community.

Significant Public Engagement

Since its opening in October, the exhibition attracted an impressive 50,752 visitors, with guided tours receiving particularly enthusiastic participation. This turnout underscores the public’s interest in the history and heritage of Al Hosn District, revealing the lived experiences and memories of its residents.

Reflections from Museum Management

Omar Salem Al Kaabi, the museum director, expressed his satisfaction with the visitor engagement, stating, “The interaction witnessed at the exhibition highlighted the importance of building strong connections between community members, their places, and the memories and traditions that have shaped Al Ain’s identity. As we conclude the exhibition, we take pride in the engagement from visitors with the story of Al Hosn and their understanding of the experiences of individuals who resided there.”

Highlighting Cultural Heritage

The exhibition also shed light on the skills, traditions, and social ties that defined life in Al Hosn. Features included traditional practices such as “Talli” embroidery and Arabic coffee preparation, as well as archaeological findings that illustrated the neighbourhood’s connections with broader community networks and trade routes.
