Lasting societal change often begins at home, and the Abu Dhabi Citizens and Community Affairs Office in the Presidency, in collaboration with the Ministry of Family Affairs, has rolled out an initiative named “Nucleus of Society”. This initiative aims to foster sustainable community dialogue that strengthens the family’s role in nurturing future generations, instilling values of cohesion and stability.
Creating Channels for Communication
The “Nucleus of Society” initiative is designed to create a series of purposeful discussions that bridge communication gaps within families and the broader community. By facilitating engaging dialogue sessions, the programme aims to open avenues for constructive conversations, thereby providing essential support for family stability and affirming the family’s pivotal role in raising children.
Investing in Family as Investing in the Nation
This initiative supports the United Arab Emirates’ vision that investing in the family is equivalent to investing in the nation’s future. It emphasises the promotion of family and community values while addressing contemporary challenges faced by families. A core objective is to protect children and uphold family stability in psychological and educational realms, providing a platform for regular discussions where families and guardians can connect with leaders, officials, experts, and inspiring national role models.
Sharing Experiences and Best Practices
Through these sessions, participants will have the opportunity to exchange successful experiences and knowledge, which will enhance awareness of positive practices that elevate the family’s role in developing children’s capabilities and guiding them towards their aspirations.
Gradual Expansion Across the Emirates
The inaugural event of this initiative commenced at the “Mohammed bin Zayed Council” in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Plans are in place for gradual expansion across all Emirates, coordinated with local councils to ensure a cohesive national effort. This approach will model effective dialogue with families and the community by addressing topics related to the realities of Emirati family life, quality of life, and sustainable child development across values, psychology, and education.
By committing to this initiative, Abu Dhabi not only seeks to reinforce the family unit but also aims to create a resilient society prepared to face future challenges and foster strong, well-rounded generations.
