The channel’s exceptional coverage plan includes a field studio, live broadcasts and daily reports that will bring viewers the atmosphere of the event as it unfolds, while also highlighting accompanying activities, heritage pavilions and the initiatives of participating government entities that promote awareness of food security and agricultural innovation.

It will also feature live interactive competitions for festival visitors and audiences, with valuable prizes set aside, alongside interviews with a select group of officials, organisers, farmers and experts, giving viewers the chance to follow the details of this leading event, which has secured a prominent place among the most important festivals in the United Arab Emirates.

Commitment to heritage and national identity

Saeed Rashid bin Fadel Al Ketbi, Director of Al Wusta from Al Dhaid, said the channel’s coverage of the festival is in line with its mission to preserve heritage and shed light on its foundations, which reflect national identity and the values of society.

Al Ketbi said: “The Al Dhaid Date Festival represents one of the most prominent national milestones that celebrates the legacy of the palm tree and its story, and the heritage and economic value passed down through generations, which embodies the symbol of giving and the Emirati identity. Through Al Wusta from Al Dhaid’s daily field coverage from the heart of the event, we are keen to present this story in a media style that combines heritage and modernity, and strengthens the connection of new generations to their rich history.”

Documenting the Central Region’s heritage scene

These exceptional efforts reaffirm Al Wusta from Al Dhaid’s commitment to its media role in documenting the heritage landscape in the Central Region, through coverage of this event and the stories and initiatives it showcases, in a way that reinforces awareness of the importance of the palm tree as a deeply rooted symbol in the culture of the Central Region and its people from one generation to the next.
