Dubai Media is offering a hands-on summer training experience designed to prepare young people for the fast-changing media landscape, as digital technologies and artificial intelligence reshape the industry at pace. Through its “Al Muktashif AI” programme, the organisation is combining interactive media experiences, specialist workshops and practical exposure to give students a clearer understanding of how modern content is created, produced and delivered.
The initiative reflects the institution’s broader strategy of investing in young people and equipping them with practical skills that help them keep up with digital transformation and AI tools. It also aims to make productive use of the summer break by strengthening participants’ abilities, developing their personalities and introducing them to the media sector.
The programme, which is aimed at school and university students and runs until 6 August 2026, includes a range of specialised training courses supervised by a select group of media professionals and experts across different fields of media work.
Participants will learn the basics of content production and writing, methods for preparing scripts and turning them into shot lists, and the use of AI applications in media. The programme also explores the changes taking place in journalism in the age of artificial intelligence, alongside training in mobile photography, digital platform content creation, radio work and voice performance.
They will also have the opportunity to apply what they learn in a real media environment, working in news, television, radio and content creation. This approach embodies learning by doing and gives them practical experience that strengthens their readiness for media work.
Throughout the programme, participants will work in teams to develop and deliver a series of media projects that put their newly acquired knowledge and skills into practice.
Field visits and real-world exposure
Designed in line with the highest international standards, the programme also features a series of trips and field visits that will allow participants to experience different media environments within Dubai Media.
Students will visit the news centre to learn how news bulletins are prepared and produced, and they will spend time in television studios observing programme filming. They will also be hosted on the morning show on Dubai Radio, giving them first-hand insight into the realities of media work across multiple specialisms.
External visits will include Masar Printing and the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Printing the Holy Quran, where participants will see the latest printing and production technologies, as well as the Museum of the Future, broadening their horizons, enriching their knowledge and strengthening their connection with innovation and modern technology.
The training journey will conclude with participants developing and delivering a series of media projects, from initial concept and planning through to execution and presentation before a specialist panel to select the best works.
This reflects Dubai Media’s commitment to turning the knowledge and skills gained by participants into integrated media projects, helping to prepare a new generation of media professionals who can keep pace with digital transformation and use artificial intelligence to enhance media content, in line with Dubai’s drive to build a creative economy based on knowledge and innovation.
