The National Archives and Library, in cooperation with the Supreme Legislation Committee in Dubai, organised a lecture that highlighted how a language-based idea can evolve into a knowledge product, while also underscoring the importance of Arabic in professional and legal environments.
Entitled «مبادرة قهوة عربية من فكرة لغوية إلى منتج معرفي», the lecture was delivered by Salem Ibrahim Al Ahmad, Head of the Research and Publications Department at the Supreme Legislation Committee in Dubai and founder of the Arab Coffee initiative. During the session, he presented his experience with the initiative, introducing its concept, objectives, outcomes and impact.
Arabic in the workplace and legal drafting
The lecture also focused on the importance of using Arabic correctly in the workplace, and on its role in improving the quality of official correspondence and legal drafting. This, it was noted, helps to consolidate the proper use of Arabic and strengthen its presence as a language of identity, thought and culture.
The initiative and its message
By sharing the journey of «قهوة عربية», the lecture brought attention to the broader value of language-driven projects that support Arabic use in practical settings. It framed the initiative as an example of how linguistic ideas can be developed into knowledge-based products with a wider cultural and professional benefit.
