His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a phone call from Sergei Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, during which the two sides discussed regional and international developments, with a particular focus on the situation in the Middle East.
Regional stability and peace efforts
The call also covered ways to strengthen efforts aimed at achieving security, stability and sustainable peace in the region, in a manner that meets the aspirations of its peoples for development and prosperity.
Bilateral relations
The two ministers additionally discussed a number of issues of mutual interest related to bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to further enhance them in support of their shared interests.
