The Al Madam Cultural and Sports Club is gearing up to launch its exciting summer initiative, “Our Vacation is Different 2026.” This year, the program will run from July 6 to July 30, aiming to engage children aged 7 to 12 through a well-rounded array of sports, cultural, social, and recreational activities. With a focus on fostering personal growth and social interaction, this initiative promises to be a transformative experience for its young participants.
According to Sharjah 24, the organizing committee of the program is currently holding final meetings and preparations in collaboration with various partner entities. Their goal is to deliver a top-notch program that fulfills educational and developmental purposes while positively utilizing participants’ summer break.
Suhail Al Kaabi, a member of the Board of Directors at the Al Madam Cultural and Sports Club and the head of the summer program committee, emphasized that this year’s program is designed with an innovative vision. Each week will focus on a specific knowledge or values theme, enhancing different facets of the participants’ personalities while blending enjoyment with learning.
The program will kick off with “Family Week,” which highlights family values, community bonding, and improved communication among family members. Following this, “Artificial Intelligence Week” will introduce participants to modern technologies and their future applications, fostering skills in critical thinking and innovation. Subsequent themes include “Sharjah Week,” dedicated to showcasing the cultural, civilizational, and heritage significance of the emirate, and finally, “Sports Week,” which aims to cultivate a culture of health and sportsmanship among participants. This concluding week will also focus on discovering budding sports talents and giving them opportunities to join the club’s athletic programs in the future.
Al Kaabi pointed out that the program focuses on creativity and innovation in crafting activities and workshops. The goals extend beyond entertainment to include skill-building, talent discovery, and personal development. The diverse content is tailored to resonate with the interests and aspirations of today’s youth.
The club has also worked diligently to broaden its partnerships with several universities and specialized government and community institutions. This collaboration aims to leverage their expertise and resources in offering high-quality workshops and programs that enrich participants’ experiences and optimize their benefits. Al Kaabi highlighted that these partnerships significantly enhance the program’s value and improve its overall outcomes.
The committee chair further praised the ongoing support from the Sharjah Sports Council for summer programs offered by clubs throughout the emirate. This backing has been instrumental in developing programs and activities for the youth, creating a holistic learning and recreational environment that combines knowledge, skill, and values.
With a diverse array of activities, workshops, field trips, and interactive sessions, the program is expected to attract substantial participation from local children and those from neighboring areas.
