Hadi Badri: The World’s Confidence in Dubai is Strong and Foreign Investment Continues to Flow
In a recent statement, Hadi Badri, the CEO of the Dubai Economic Development Corporation, emphasized that foreign direct investment is a vital factor in Dubai’s success. He clarified that the world’s confidence in Dubai remains strong as the city continues to attract foreign investors. Over the past four years, Dubai has been at the forefront of global cities in attracting foreign direct investment, witnessing a significant increase in capital flow this year.
Success of Foreign Investment in Dubai
During the Semaphore Global Economy Conference in Washington, Badri confirmed that Dubai remains an attractive hub for foreign direct investment, with capital growth of 50% last year. Foreign direct investment is considered an exceptional element of Dubai’s success, surpassing many international economic capitals. Badri noted that the United States continues to be the largest source of investment in Dubai, with approximately 60% of its investments coming from mergers and acquisitions.
Engagement with Investors
As part of his visit to Washington, Badri held a series of meetings with investors, affirming that these investors remain committed and steadfast in their positions toward Dubai. He also pointed out that the government enjoys significant trust from investors, who are enthusiastic about available opportunities in real estate development and financial markets.
Future Investment Trends
Badri indicated that several deals are in preparation with investors in the United States during the current quarter. He assured that if some deals encounter delays, there is a possibility of rescheduling them in the coming months, reflecting a strong commitment to foreign investment. He explained that all indicators suggest that foreign investment in Dubai will continue to flow, with expectations of new opportunities ahead.
Ensuring Stability and Security
Badri also addressed the issue of population stability, confirming that Dubai is a city of growth that continues to attract both residents and investors. He noted that nearly half a million Iranians live in Dubai and contribute to the local economy, reflecting the cohesion of the city’s social fabric. He emphasized that the priority is to ensure the safety of all residents, whether citizens or expatriates, and that the government continues to provide support and assistance to them.
With the enhancement of foreign direct investment, the world’s confidence in Dubai remains strong, positioning the city prominently on the global economic map. These commitments illustrate that foreign investment is dedicated to flowing, and future opportunities in Dubai promise further growth and prosperity.
