With a focus on digital transformation and artificial intelligence, the initiatives presented aim to improve service quality and efficiency, ensuring a robust healthcare system capable of adapting to global changes.

Strengthening Sustainability Through Innovation

Minister Al-Sayegh commended the initiatives launched by the Emirates Health Services Foundation, which leverage innovation to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the healthcare system. These efforts aim to broaden access to specialized care and improve health outcomes for the community. This initiative reflects the country’s commitment to prioritizing human well-being as part of its sustainable development goals while fostering a collaborative institutional culture across various entities.

Al-Sayegh pointed out that national health organizations stand as an advanced model for integrating and harmonizing the healthcare system under a unified strategic framework. This alignment supports the objectives of the “We are the UAE 2031” vision and emphasizes the expansion of international partnerships and knowledge exchange. Through these efforts, innovation not only enhances service quality but also elevates the health sector’s readiness for future requirements.

Advancing Service Development

Dr. Youssef Mohammed Al-Serkal, Director-General of the Emirates Health Services Foundation, expressed pride in Minister Al-Sayegh’s visit and his engagement with innovative projects, especially the interactive artificial intelligence initiatives such as “Aml,” “Mitha,” and “Humaida.” He affirmed that the foundation is continuously advancing its digital healthcare services by adopting advanced solutions that improve user experience and expand the application of modern technologies in medical and operational pathways. This shift not only speeds up service delivery but also enhances overall healthcare quality and sustainability.

A Comprehensive Healthcare Model

The Emirates Health Services Foundation will showcase an integrated system of artificial intelligence and interactive AI projects at the 2026 World Health Exhibition. This comprehensive approach represents a significant transformation in the design and delivery of health services, promoting a proactive, intelligent healthcare model focused on individuals. It supports preventative measures and boosts the efficiency and sustainability of the healthcare system in line with the UAE’s national initiatives in innovation, digital transformation, and quality of life.

Marbaka Ibrahim, Executive Director of the Information Sector and CEO of AI at the foundation, emphasized that AI has become integral to the design and decision-making processes within healthcare. The initiatives presented at the exhibition demonstrate a leap from isolated solutions to an integrated, intelligent system capable of early intervention and tangible improvements in care quality. This aligns with the national direction of building a more efficient and sustainable healthcare system.

Transformative AI Solutions

Among the pioneering clinical solutions showcased within the AI framework is the “Intelligent Dermatological Diagnosis” project, which employs computer vision technology supported by AI to analyze skin lesion images captured via mobile devices. This innovation generates a ranked differential diagnosis list based on filtering criteria that prioritize intervention, thus expediting appropriate care and enhancing medical decision accuracy.

In terms of safety and operational compliance in care delivery, the foundation presents the “Medi Vision” platform, utilizing computer vision technologies and smart glasses for real-time risk monitoring. Additionally, the “Smart Vein Assistant,” powered by AI, serves as a practical tool available around the clock to assist healthcare providers by streamlining daily workflows and providing clinical guidelines and instant support hands-free.

In efforts to foster community engagement, the foundation introduces the “Smart Blood Donation App,” a sophisticated digital model aimed at facilitating and sustaining the blood donation process. Meanwhile, the “Smart Host” project enhances patient experience across healthcare facilities, ensuring a more efficient healthcare journey for users.

In the realm of interactive AI, the “Mitha — Interactive Assistant for Recruiting Nursing Staff” initiative exemplifies an advanced model for healthcare human resources management. It incorporates intelligent candidate screening after preliminary interviews, evaluates video assessments, and assesses competencies through AI-supported conversational interviews. Dr. Soumaya Al-Balooshi, head of nursing at the Emirates Health Services Foundation, remarked that the “Mitha” project signifies a qualitative leap in recruiting and managing nursing talents.

The foundation further showcases the “Aml — Smart Medical Assistant” project, designed to support virtual urgent care services, reflecting its dedicated commitment to raising the healthcare sector’s readiness for future challenges through innovative solutions.
