“Abu Dhabi Poetry” employs digitalization to disseminate knowledge and is part of efforts to raise cultural awareness and enhance intellectual exchange. Under the patronage of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, the second edition of the Poetry Festival has evolved into a vibrant platform for sharing ideas and experiences among poets, researchers, and the audience. This event, which includes a range of digital activities, reflects pioneering efforts in using technology to promote poetry and enhance literary knowledge.
The second edition of the “Abu Dhabi Poetry Festival,” organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority at the ADNEC in Abu Dhabi, continues today (February 11), attracting a wide audience of poets, researchers, writers, students, and poetry enthusiasts.
The festival introduced a cultural podcast experience as a new dialogue platform; four episodes were recorded on the first day, featuring various media personalities alongside poets, critics, and researchers discussing their creative experiences and contemporary poetry issues in conversations that blend cognitive and human dimensions. This digital content allows the audience to follow poetic discussions outside the framework of live events.
The podcast episodes contribute to expanding the audience for poetry and reaching new groups interested in culture, reflecting the festival’s inclination to utilize digital media to disseminate poetic knowledge and enhance its presence in the contemporary cultural space.
The “Poetry Theater” also presented three poetry evenings featuring eleven poets; the opening evening included poets Musaed bin Tahsas, Ali Al-Khawar, Mohammed Jarallah Al-Suhaili, and Dr. Khamees Al-Muqimi, hosted by media personality Abdullah Al-Kurbi.
