This message was conveyed during a press conference held at the Influencers Pavilion in Emirates Towers, attended by senior representatives from major global social media platforms and leaders from local, regional, and international media organizations.
During the press briefing, details about the agenda for the Billion Followers Summit 2026 were unveiled, showcasing key events to be hosted at this global gathering. Al Eter remarked, “In the inaugural year, the total number of followers for the speakers was one billion, and this year we have reached 3.5 billion followers. Today, content creation drives the media sector, and our goal through the Billion Followers Summit is to focus on the positive impact of content creators across various fields.”

This year’s summit will revolve around two essential themes. The first will explore how to transform content creators into change-makers and how to produce meaningful content on social media. In this regard, a new educational content initiative has been launched in partnership with TikTok, aimed at promoting entertaining educational content and recognizing outstanding educators. The response has been remarkable, attracting 610,000 participants and generating 320,000 videos that garnered 1.8 billion views on TikTok.
Additionally, the summit has initiated five strategic partnerships with platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, X, and Meta to support purposeful content. Its agenda includes over 580 specialized sessions and workshops dedicated to meaningful content, featuring more than 500 speakers who will address diverse topics such as financial literacy, education, health, community, and entrepreneurship.
Global Engagement and Community Impact
Al Eter announced that the summit’s collaboration with global content creator Mr. Beast has launched the “1 Billion Acts of Kindness” initiative, which encourages each content creator to undertake a community service project. The outcome of this campaign has been impressive, yielding over 170,000 acts of kindness that achieved more than 100 million views within three weeks. “Our aim is to change the perspective of content creators, prompting them to make a positive impact in their communities and generate beneficial content for nations and societies,” he added.
The second focus will be on utilizing artificial intelligence tools in content creation, predicting that AI will reshape the content landscape dramatically. In this context, the summit has introduced the AI Film Award in partnership with Google Gemini, offering a grand prize of one million dollars. This initiative has seen participation from over 30,000 individuals across 116 countries, with five films successfully reaching the finals.
