In a significant move to enhance the appreciation of the Arabic language and Emirati values, the Ministry of Culture has successfully concluded its 2025 winter program, “Language of the Quran and Emirati Manners.” This initiative, organized in collaboration with the National Fund and various cultural and community institutions, took place across the ministry’s cultural centers in Al Dhafra, Ajman, and Ras Al Khaimah. The program aimed to nurture national identity and reinforce the role of the Arabic language among the youth.
A Rich Cultural Experience
The winter program attracted a wide audience, featuring 56 engaging activities designed for participants aged six and above. Through a mix of educational and interactive workshops, attendees enjoyed a comprehensive cultural experience that fostered creativity and a deeper love for the Arabic language. The activities were specifically tailored to instill the values of Emirati manners in an uplifting educational environment that combined learning with entertainment.
Successful Collaboration
According to Mubarak Al-Nakhi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, the impressive turnout reflects successful collaborative efforts among the Ministry of Culture, the National Fund, and partner cultural institutions to strengthen connections with Emirati heritage and national identity. He emphasized the importance of delivering a rich educational environment that supports creative expression and talent development. This program, he noted, plays a vital role in the ministry’s vision to enrich cultural engagement for youth and encourage sustainable learning.
Innovative Educational Activities
The winter program served as a prominent annual initiative by the Ministry of Culture during school break periods. It aims to channel the free time of children, teenagers, and young adults into purposeful activities that promote cognitive and artistic development while deepening their connection to national identity. The diverse array of activities included specialized workshops in fields like the Arabic language and the Quran, visual arts, animation, Emirati cooking, shipbuilding, and storytelling. Additionally, field trips to museums and heritage sites provided participants with direct exposure to the rich cultural legacy of the UAE, linking theory with practical experience.
Fostering Community Values
The various activities were instrumental in enhancing participants’ creative thinking skills and teamwork abilities while also promoting values of social responsibility and belonging. Furthermore, the program succeeded in honing individual talents and motivating participants to express their thoughts and emotions through various creative mediums. By intertwining education with culture, the Ministry of Culture has made significant strides in nurturing future generations who appreciate and embody Emirati traditions and the Arabic language.
