Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation, the fourth edition of the Dubai Future Forum 2025 is set to commence tomorrow. This prominent global gathering of future designers and experts, organized by the Dubai Future Foundation, will take place at the Museum of the Future on November 18 and 19. With an expected attendance of 2,500 experts from various fields, the forum aims to explore future opportunities through over 70 sessions featuring more than 200 speakers, covering key themes such as future perspectives, exploring the unknown, community futures, health futures, and systemic futures.
A Unique Platform for Future Insights
The Dubai Future Forum stands as a leading platform to envision future opportunities across diverse sectors. This year, for the first time, the forum will host “Specialized Forum Days” on November 17 and 20, collaborating with several local, regional, and global partners. These sessions will delve into five critical topics: foresight and international security, strategic philanthropic foresight, foresight and smart assets, climate response foresight, and future media. A distinguished gathering of media leaders, including editors-in-chief and television executives, participated in a panel discussion organized by Arab News, focusing on “Future Media.” They highlighted the emerging opportunities in the media landscape due to advancing technologies and identified essential future trends that media professionals must be equipped with.
Focused Discussions on Real-World Challenges
In the specialized forums, discussions on “Foresight and International Security,” organized by the Think Foundation, emphasized using foresight tools to enhance global dialogue and comprehend international transformations. Another session led by the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation addressed the future of philanthropy and new models emerging in the sector. Participants in the “Intelligent Assets Foresight” sessions shared practical experiences on converting research into applicable solutions and the revolutionary technology’s role in enhancing human-technology interaction. Moreover, sessions focused on “Climate Response Foresight,” organized by the Dubai Research and Development and Innovation Program, explored strategies to bolster urban resilience against climate challenges.
Noteworthy Keynotes and Sessions
The opening day of the Dubai Future Forum will feature a significant keynote address by His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications. Among the discussions will be sessions titled “Future Communities: How Do We Redefine Sustainable Communities?” and “Are We Undermining the Future with Today’s Decisions?” Other critical topics include the role of education in preparing for the future and the contributions of industrial sectors to the economy’s future. Participants can look forward to pivotal discussions such as “Do Scientific Alliances Create a New Future for Research and Development?” and “Proactive Medicine: Are We on the Brink of a New Leap?”
Showcasing Innovative Solutions
Additionally, starting today, the ‘Dubai Future Solutions – Innovations for Humanity’ exhibition will take place, showcasing the world’s largest and most diverse gathering of innovators and academic talents at the UAE Towers in Dubai until November 20. This exhibition features the top 100 innovative projects among thousands of submissions from students, recent graduates, and faculty from over 1,200 universities across 120 countries. Five exceptional innovators will be recognized and supported in implementing their groundbreaking ideas in practice.
The event will also celebrate the winners of the first edition of the “Dubai Future Foresight Awards,” launched last year under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed. This initiative recognizes innovators, visionaries, and leaders in foresight, emphasizing their contributions across three main areas: foundations of foresight, community futures, and environmental foresight. Furthermore, the Future Narratives Awards will honor writers and authors who inspire new generations of future experts and forecasters.
The Dubai Future Forum 2025 partners include Dubai Municipality and Emirates Global Aluminium as strategic partners, along with UNICEF, Emirates Flight Catering, XPANCEO, the Explorers Club Foundation, the Think Foundation, and several national and international academic institutions.
