Strengthening Strategic Partnerships

The two-day visit reiterated the depth of the strategic partnership between the UAE and the UK in safeguarding the international financial system and countering illicit financial networks that facilitate serious and organized crime worldwide. Enhancing cooperation in strategic priorities and activating the bilateral dialogue were key outcomes from the meetings. These sessions allowed for the exchange of best practices and information in regulatory, enforcement, and judicial domains.

Commitment to Global Solutions

His Excellency Hamid Al Zaabi remarked, “Financial crime is inherently transnational, and combating it requires global solutions.” He emphasized the UAE’s and UK’s steadfast commitment to tackling illicit financial activities, underscoring the fruitful discussions that paved the way for increased operational efficiency and stronger bilateral relations. Minister Dan Jarvis also expressed that collaboration with the UAE represents a significant advancement in joint efforts to combat illicit financial activities, stating, “Through cross-border cooperation, we can better protect the security of our countries and shield communities from the severe harms caused by money laundering and international crime.”
