In an effort to enhance national competencies and build a bright future through financial education, the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al-Neyadi, launched the activities of the “Young Financial Advisors Program.” This innovative program serves as a vital platform for preparing a promising generation of national talents, aiming to raise financial awareness among youth and develop their skills in this crucial field. The program was organized in collaboration with several leading government entities, contributing to the establishment of a solid foundation of young financial advisors capable of effectively engaging with the community.

The Program and Leadership Vision

Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al-Neyadi clarified that the “Young Financial Advisors Program” represents a new milestone in empowering youth in the UAE. This program reflects the leadership’s belief that investing in the potential of young people is essential for building a more advanced future. The program aligns with the economic pillar of the National Youth Agenda 2031, aiming to create a quality platform that prepares a generation of competencies capable of supporting sustainable economic development.

Structure and Training Content

Executive Director of the Federal Youth Foundation, Khaled Al-Nuaimi, pointed out that the program bridges the gap between academic study and practical experience. It covers seven key areas, including financial literacy and entrepreneurial finance. The program spans four months and features a variety of activities, from workshops to field visits, ensuring a rich educational experience.

New Challenges for the Young Generation

It is well known that youth face numerous economic challenges, especially with the rapid changes in the financial world. Several participants in the Young Financial Advisors Program emphasized the importance of promoting financial awareness among different segments of society. Mohammed Al-Majdi, an auditing manager at a bank, stated that a lack of experience in financial literacy is one of the main challenges hindering youth from achieving the necessary financial progress.

Towards a Better Financial Culture

Khaled Al-Khouri, Deputy Director of the Risk Management Department, highlighted the need to enhance financial literacy among the new generations, stressing that there is a significant gap between the current level of financial literacy and the desired level. He affirmed the vital role that programs like the “Young Financial Advisors Program” play in preparing a financially aware generation, contributing to the stability of families and society as a whole.

Financial awareness is not merely an option but a responsibility placed on the shoulders of youth, positioning them correctly to take on financial responsibilities not only for themselves but for their families and society as a whole.
