UAE Vision 2031 Achieves 67 Percent Progress Milestone

We Achieved 67% of the Targets of the “We Are the UAE 2031” Vision

The Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, revealed that the UAE has achieved 67% of the targets of the “We Are the UAE 2031” vision, according to recent reports and performance indicators. This achievement comes at a time when six years remain to accomplish the remaining objectives of the vision, reflecting the government’s commitment to community development and sustainable growth.

Annual Meetings to Evaluate Performance and Future Aspirations

Al Gergawi explained that “the annual meetings of the UAE government are not merely an annual event; they are a vital national exercise.” During these meetings, government performance is evaluated, priorities are set, and the comprehensive vision strategy is reviewed. The “We Are the UAE 2031” vision, launched three years ago, is a cornerstone of these meetings.

He noted that “these achieved accomplishments are not the end of the road,” but rather a call to consider what can be achieved by 2026. He also emphasized the need to close the remaining gaps to ensure the UAE’s continued leadership in a world characterized by constant changes.

Turning Challenges into Opportunities

During his speech, Al Gergawi reviewed the challenges faced by the country on both regional and international levels, citing crises, conflicts, and economic threats. Under these circumstances, he affirmed that the UAE has succeeded in turning challenges into opportunities thanks to the vision of wise leadership. He also referenced Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, and his vision for achieving balance between the East and the West.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President of the UAE, envisioned a philosophy of advancement, stating: “In the UAE, we want to be number one.” This mindset represents the UAE’s approach to achieving goals and promoting growth across all sectors.

Outstanding Economic Performance

Al Gergawi expressed his optimism for 2025 as the best economic year for the UAE, noting the exceptional achievements of the country. Reports from the International Monetary Fund indicate that the UAE’s economic growth is expected to exceed the global average, reaching 4.8%. He added that “the value of the UAE’s non-oil foreign trade is approaching three trillion dirhams, with a growth rate of 24.5% this year.”

Looking Towards the Future

Al Gergawi affirmed that the UAE is solidifying its international presence and confirming its role in influencing global cooperation, reflecting its commitment to achieving its ultimate goal: to be the best country in the world. He pointed out that success does not mean ceasing the pursuit of excellence, as continuous change requires courage to dream and the will to achieve better outcomes.

Al Gergawi emphasized the importance of maintaining team spirit and collaboration among all state institutions, stating: “It is our collective responsibility to uphold this spirit… Our goal is one: to make the UAE better each year than it was before.”

In light of these achievements, the announcement of achieving 67% of the targets of the “We Are the UAE 2031” vision demonstrates a significant commitment to enhancing a future built on innovation and sustainable growth.
