35 Influential Leaders Shaping the Future of the 2026 Summit

35 Heads of State and Government to Participate in the Global Government Summit 2026

Dubai is preparing to host 35 heads of state and government for the Global Government Summit 2026, which will take place from February 3 to 5. Under the theme “Shaping the Future of Governments,” this summit highlights the UAE’s leading role as a global hub that brings together decision-makers and experts. The summit aims to shape the future of government work, focusing on innovation and collaboration between governments and the private sector.

Confirmation of the Largest Event in Summit History

His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Global Government Summit, revealed that the upcoming edition of the summit will be the largest ever. It will feature 35 heads of state and government, including the Prime Ministers of Spain, Egypt, and Jordan. The summit will also see high-level representation from major international organizations such as the International Monetary Fund and the International Civil Aviation Organization.

Strategic Partnerships for Designing the Future

His Excellency Al Gergawi emphasized the importance of partnerships between governments, international organizations, and the private sector as a key element for the success of the summit. Hundreds of “future designers” from major companies such as Google, Ericsson, Airbus, and IBM will participate, reflecting the private sector’s role in providing innovative solutions. The summit’s agenda will focus on 24 specialized forums covering vital topics, including artificial intelligence, the future of education, and health.

Global Scientists Summit: A Unique Addition for 2026

His Excellency Al Gergawi announced another significant addition this year, the “Global Scientists Summit,” which will take place from February 1 to 3 in collaboration with the Global Association of Scientists. More than 50 scientists, including Nobel Prize winners, will gather to provide scientific recommendations that support decision-making in governments, highlighting the importance of science in shaping public policies.

Enhancing Excellence Through Global Awards

The summit continues to encourage excellence by presenting four prominent global awards: the Best Minister in the World Award, the Most Advanced Government Award, the Best Global Government Practices Award, and the Best Teacher in the World Award. Through these awards, the summit aims to stimulate innovation and enhance efforts to improve the quality of government services.

In conclusion, His Excellency Al Gergawi affirmed that the summit has evolved from a local idea launched in 2013 into a global laboratory for testing bold ideas. The goal of this summit is to build governments capable of adapting to rapid changes and ensuring that they do not lose direction in the face of global challenges. This reflects a commitment to improving the quality of life for people and placing them at the heart of government priorities.
