The Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy for Women’s Sports is hosting its third annual summer camp from July 13 to August 6 at its Abu Dhabi headquarters. Under the theme “Discovering Talents,” this year’s camp has attracted over 160 participants, reflecting the academy’s commitment to empowering women through sports.
Diverse Activities and Training
Abdullah Al Tamimi, a representative of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy, highlighted the varied activities offered in this year’s camp, designed to cater to different age groups. A notable addition is the introduction of bowling, complemented by workshops aimed at teaching its fundamentals and enhancing participants’ skills. Expert trainers will conduct both sports sessions and cultural activities, ensuring a well-rounded experience for all attendees.
Comprehensive Support and Facilities
The summer camp is not only focused on sports but also prioritises the health and safety of its participants. It offers comprehensive medical services alongside awareness workshops for children, conducted in partnership with government entities. This holistic approach aims to maximise the benefits of the summer programme, addressing various aspects of participants’ experiences.
Encouraging Active Lifestyles
To promote continuous participation in physical activities, the academy provides outdoor facilities, including a running track and courts for football and padel. This initiative aligns with the goals of the “Year of Family 2026”, encouraging women to embrace an active lifestyle in a supportive sporting environment.
Fostering a Culture of Knowledge
In addition to its sports offerings, the academy recently inaugurated the Fatima Bint Mubarak Sports Library, reinforcing its commitment to advancing women’s sports culture. This establishment aims to promote reading and lifelong learning, ensuring that community members of all ages can enhance their knowledge and understanding while fostering national identity values.
