In a remarkable achievement that reflects the leadership of the United Arab Emirates in the industrial sector, industrial exports reached 262 billion dirhams for the first time in 2025. This growth of 25% compared to 2024 confirms the effectiveness of the policies established by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology. This significant transformation showcases the increasing strength of national products in global markets and reinforces the country’s position as a leading industrial hub in the region.
Continuous Growth in Industrial Exports
The value of exports from medium and high-tech industries reached approximately 92 billion dirhams, achieving an annual increase of 42%. These figures surpassed the initial targets set at 90 billion dirhams by 2031, reflecting the rapid shift towards advanced manufacturing and increasing the added value of national industries. This remarkable growth illustrates the strategic direction towards high-value industrial categories, enhancing the UAE’s competitiveness in the global market.
The Message of Wise Leadership
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, emphasized the importance of the industrial base in strengthening the national economy. He stated, “The backbone of any competitive national economy is its industrial base… I am proud of our national industrial economic figures… We achieved a 25% growth over the previous year, exporting more than 262 billion dirhams in industrial products in one year, including 90 billion dirhams in technology industries… and the UAE is now the leading country in the region for industrial exports.” This statement reflects the extensive government support that enhances the role of the industrial sector in achieving sustainable development.
Developing Industrial Policies to Enhance Growth
The UAE continues, under its leadership’s vision, to improve industrial policies and update regulatory frameworks. His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, confirmed that these developments are part of the ongoing efforts to support the growth of the industrial sector and create an attractive investment environment. With the support of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, the ministry focuses on expanding the base of industrial exports and enhancing the excellence of national industry.
Enhancing the Country’s Position as a Global Industrial Hub
Industrial trade indicators suggest that the UAE has become an increasingly important global hub for trade and industry. The government is working to enhance confidence in the investment environment by achieving legal and regulatory stability. Additionally, the National Content Program (ICV) directs spending towards the local economy, boosting the industrial sector’s capacity and increasing its contribution to GDP.
As these achievements continue, it appears that the UAE is on the right track to achieving further successes in the value of industrial exports, establishing a resilient and sustainable productive economy. The ongoing growth in industrial exports reflects the country’s commitment to enhancing its global standing in industrial fields, opening new horizons for prosperity and sustainable economic growth.
