UAE Readiness and Defensive Capability

The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Pilot Abd al-Nasser al-Hamidi, indicated that the UAE enjoys a high level of readiness and preparedness. He confirmed that the country possesses advanced defense systems, including national defense industries, enabling it to protect its territory and people, even amid ongoing regional tensions.

During the press briefing, al-Hamidi explained that the UAE has multi-layered air defense systems designed to efficiently handle various aerial threats by providing comprehensive coverage through long-range, medium-range, and short-range systems.

Statistics on Aerial Threats

The data presented by al-Hamidi revealed that UAE air defenses have engaged with 186 ballistic missiles since the onset of Iranian hostilities. In these operations, the forces managed to destroy 172 missiles, while 13 fell into the sea, and one missile landed within the country’s territory.
