The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Defence has issued a poignant statement mourning the loss of two of its personnel who died during a training mission within the country. This announcement was made on the morning of Monday, 14th September 2026.
Tributes to the Fallen
In the official statement, the Ministry expressed its condolences, highlighting the sacrifices made by the individuals involved. The deceased are identified as Captain Abdullah Shams Al-Manhali and candidate Saeed Abdullah Al-Shamsi, both of whom lost their lives while performing their training duties.

The Ministry’s statement conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. It stated, “The Ministry of Defence expresses its deepest sorrow and sympathy to the families of the martyrs, praying that Allah Almighty grants them His vast mercy and grants them in His spacious gardens, and inspires their families and loved ones with patience and solace.”
