In a significant move to celebrate the achievements of Emirati women, the Dubai Women’s Foundation has announced the organisation of the “Emirati Women’s Forum 2026,” scheduled for 27th August. This event coincides with the 11th anniversary of “Emirati Women’s Day,” a national initiative launched by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, and President of the General Women’s Union. The day recognises the invaluable contributions of Emirati women to the nation’s comprehensive development and its global competitiveness.
Celebrating Empowerment and Future Partnerships
The second edition of the Emirati Women’s Forum will be held at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Gender Balance Council and Head of the Dubai Women’s Foundation. The event will welcome distinguished officials, leaders, and decision-makers from governmental, semi-governmental, and private sectors.
A Continuation of Success
This year’s forum builds on the success of its inaugural edition last year, which attracted over 700 attendees from various sectors, solidifying its reputation as an inspiring platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange. The forum will highlight policies and initiatives that bolster women’s presence across diverse sectors, aligning with the UAE’s vision for a more pioneering and empowering future.
Gratitude for Ongoing Support
Her Highness Sheikha Manal expressed her deep appreciation to the wise leadership for their continuous support of Emirati women. She stated, “The visionary approach of our leadership has established a comprehensive development model, positioning women as key partners in shaping the future. This environment has enabled women to actively contribute across various sectors, making the UAE a global benchmark in investing in national women’s talents.”
Honouring Women’s Achievements
She praised the historic efforts and pioneering initiatives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, which have been fundamental in empowering Emirati women. “These initiatives have consistently inspired every woman in the UAE, encouraging them to contribute to the nation’s progress,” Sheikha Manal added.
Looking Ahead
The Emirati Women’s Day celebrations will unfold this year under the theme “We Show the Stronger and Better,” spanning a month from 28th August to 28th September 2026, under the guidance of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. This occasion serves not only as a national celebration of Emirati women’s remarkable achievements but also as a renewal of commitment to building upon these successes.
Sheikha Manal highlighted the importance of continuing to invest in national talents and broadening participation in future-oriented sectors to enhance the UAE’s readiness for the future. “Emirati women have been and will remain essential partners in realising this ambitious vision, with the relentless support of our wise leadership,” she affirmed.
Empowering Future Generations
In her remarks, Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Chairwoman of the Dubai Women’s Foundation, emphasised that the forum exemplifies Sheikha Manal’s vision aimed at developing national platforms for dialogue, showcasing inspiring female role models, and solidifying partnerships that contribute to the ongoing success of Emirati women.

She concluded, “We take pride in hosting the second edition of the Emirati Women’s Forum, featuring an extensive programme filled with panel discussions, workshops, inspiring experiences, and strategic discussions that envision the future role of women in supporting national development.”
