The Sharjah Volunteer Award has launched its first workshop for the “Little Volunteer” program, a transformative initiative aimed at nurturing a spirit of volunteering among children. Introducing the Concept of Volunteering to Children
The workshop was designed to introduce children to the concept of volunteering and its significance in serving the community. Through simplified methods and interactive discussions, the children had the opportunity to explore various fields of volunteering. Among the various activities, a team-based game was implemented to enhance values of cooperation and teamwork. According to Suad Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Sharjah Volunteer Award, investing in children is fundamental for developing a community that embraces a volunteering culture. Al Shamsi stated, “The ‘Little Volunteer’ program aims to present the concept of volunteering to children in an enjoyable and interactive manner, blending learning with play to promote values of collaboration, initiative, and generosity.”
