Sharjah Police has been helping participants in the Liwa summer programme in Al Dhaid build their awareness of cyber security, as part of wider efforts to support safe and informed use of digital platforms among young people.
The initiative formed part of a broader summer activity schedule in the area, which has been bringing together educational, sporting and cultural programmes for participants during the season.
Cyber security awareness for summer participants
According to شرطة الشارقة توعي منتسبي صيف الذيد بالأمن السيبراني Sharjah24, the session was designed to raise awareness among those taking part in the programme about cyber security risks and how to deal with them responsibly.
The focus on cyber security reflects the growing importance of digital safety, particularly for younger users who are increasingly active online for learning, communication and entertainment.
Part of a wider summer programme in Al Dhaid
The cyber security awareness activity sits alongside a series of events organised under the Sharjah summer programme in Al Dhaid. These include sports, educational and enrichment activities aimed at making the summer season more engaging for participants.
Other related programme updates have highlighted a full sports day organised by Al Dhaid Club within the Sharjah week of the Sharjah sports summer programme, as well as the organising committee’s visit to review the club’s programmes. Sharjah Sport has also reviewed summer activities at Khorfakkan for People of Determination.
In another activity linked to the same summer initiative, Al Dhaid Club is organising Quran memorisation and recitation lessons as part of “Our Different Holiday 2026”.
