The newly established Residential Violations Committee in Sharjah held its inaugural meeting, marking the beginning of its crucial role in addressing housing encroachments within the emirate. The committee was formed following a directive from His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, who also serves as the Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council.
Introduction of Committee Members and Responsibilities
During the meeting, Sayed Sultan Mohammed bin Hwaidan Al Ketbi, the committee’s chairman, underscored the significance of familiarising the members with one another and delineating the tasks and responsibilities assigned to them. This foundational session sought to ensure a coherent approach to tackling the challenges ahead, focusing on effective coordination among committee members to achieve their common objectives.
Formation of Subcommittees
One of the key outcomes of this initial gathering was the establishment of various subcommittees. These include field committees and others that will operate in parallel with the main committee.
