The Sharjah Institute for Heritage organised its 2026 open day to introduce visitors, students and other interested attendees to its accredited programmes and qualifications, as well as the educational environment and the academic and administrative services available to learners.

The event began with an introductory presentation on the Academic Administration, followed by remarks from Dr Khalid Al Shehhi, Director of Academic Administration, who welcomed those present and stressed the importance of such meetings in strengthening communication with students and those interested in education and heritage. He also highlighted the administration’s role in organising and developing educational, training and professional programmes, supporting the quality of the learning process, and preparing qualified cadres in the fields of cultural heritage.

Introduction to programmes and learning facilities

As part of the open day, attendees were given a presentation on the smart academic assistant, along with a tour of the classrooms and direct meetings with faculty members and the Academic Administration team. These sessions were designed to answer visitors’ questions about the programmes, study mechanisms and admission requirements.

Strengthening community engagement

The institute said the open day comes within its efforts to deepen engagement with the community and support education in the field of cultural heritage, while preparing cadres capable of preserving, documenting and passing on Emirati heritage to future generations.
