Sharjah Charity Initiates Humanitarian Efforts in Tajikistan

In a remarkable initiative that underscores its commitment to humanitarian efforts, the Sharjah Charity Association has launched several new projects in Tajikistan. Under the leadership of Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, the Executive Director of the association, the delegation visited various sites where these projects are being executed. This initiative aims to provide much-needed educational and health resources while strengthening the association’s ongoing efforts to address humanitarian needs in the region.

Foundation of Educational Institutions

During the visit, the delegation laid the groundwork for the expansion of “Al-Muhsinun School,” responding to a growing number of students by adding ten new classrooms. This expansion is set to accommodate around 800 students, significantly enhancing educational opportunities for local children. Additionally, a cornerstone was laid for a new school called “Al-Jood,” which will occupy 525 square meters and include eight classrooms, ultimately benefiting 400 students.

Healthcare Initiatives

As part of its humanitarian mission, the delegation also established the foundation for the Al-Rih Al-Mursala Health Clinic. Supported by donors from the “Al-Rih Al-Mursala” program, this clinic is projected to serve approximately 9,000 beneficiaries each year. Such healthcare projects are crucial in ensuring accessible medical services for the local community, addressing long-standing health challenges.

Support for Orphans

The delegation further monitored the progress of an orphanage currently under construction, evaluating its status to ensure the creation of a safe, nurturing environment for orphaned children. They also visited another facility housing several sponsored orphans, reinforcing the association’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children in the region.

Community Development Efforts

Additionally, the visit included a tour of the “Qafail Khair School,” which covers an area of 185 square meters and hosts three classrooms, catering to 144 students annually. The delegation also inspected multiple well drilling projects carried out by the association, which are vital for providing clean drinking water to underserved communities.

The Sharjah Charity Association’s efforts in Tajikistan highlight the positive impact of targeted humanitarian interventions. By initiating these crucial projects, the association not only meets immediate needs but also fosters long-term development in the region, ensuring a brighter future for its people.
