In a demonstration of international collaboration, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing governmental knowledge and practices through strategic partnerships. This sentiment was articulated by Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, during an official visit by a delegation from the Republic of Serbia. The visit was organized by the Government Knowledge Exchange Office, aimed at sharing vital experiences and best practices in government services and operations.
Strengthening Global Ties through Knowledge Exchange
During his remarks, Al Gergawi emphasised that the UAE’s approach focuses on proactive governance, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing to better equip governments to anticipate and respond to change. He noted, “The experiences cultivated by the UAE Government present an advanced model for building more responsive, agile, and future-ready administrations. This is grounded in investing in people and enhancing the skills of governmental personnel to lead the next generation of governance.”
Collaboration between Serbia and the UAE
The partnership with Serbia reflects a shared vision between the two nations to emphasise the importance of knowledge exchange and the development of governmental capabilities. Al Gergawi reiterated that such collaborations contribute significantly to improving governmental performance and the overall community wellbeing.
A Comprehensive Learning Experience
The Serbian delegation, consisting of 25 officials from the Ministry of Public Administration, local municipalities, and nine major municipalities, engaged in a series of training sessions during their visit. The programme included five training workshops focused on enhancing government service development, structured across three distinct phases. Additionally, the delegation participated in field tours to service centres in Ajman, where they observed the UAE’s innovative service delivery models and customer journey facilitation methods.
