According to the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Saudi Arabia’s tomato production exceeded 691,875 tons in 2023, achieving a self-sufficiency rate of 76 percent.

The ministry noted that the production of tomatoes in open fields surpassed 392,294 tons, while production in greenhouses exceeded 299,581 tons.
