His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has underscored the fundamental role of education as a cornerstone in human development and societal progress. He emphasised that investing in generations by equipping them with knowledge and skills is vital for the nation’s continued development and for forging a brighter future.
These remarks were made during the honouring of the winners of the Ras Al Khaimah Educational Excellence Award 2026, now in its 20th edition, organised by the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research at the Ras Al Khaimah Creative Centre, under the Ministry of Culture.
A total of 68 winners were recognised across 26 categories, encompassing students, individuals, and educational institutions operating within the emirate.
His Highness stated, “Honouring those who excel in the educational field is a tribute to their achievements—a message that hard work, ambition, and dedication are values we cherish and strive to ingratiate within our community.”
He further expressed a desire for young people to possess the knowledge and understanding necessary to navigate changes and create opportunities, thereby contributing effectively to society, asserting that “the future is shaped by qualified generations capable of continuous learning and taking responsibility.”
He noted that since its inception, the Ras Al Khaimah Educational Excellence Award has significantly contributed to fostering a culture of excellence within the educational environment, encouraging students, teachers, school administrations, and parents to enhance practices and elevate performance standards.
His Highness congratulated the winners and honourees of the award’s 20th edition and expressed appreciation for all those involved in its organisation, including educational entities, schools, teachers, and parents, commending their efforts in supporting students and creating an environment conducive to their aspirations.
The awards spanned various fields, including excellence in educational research, innovation, environmental sustainability, performance, and well-being, recognising pioneering schools, their principals, teachers, parents, and students who have achieved remarkable accomplishments across different categories.
Established in 2004 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Ras Al Khaimah Educational Excellence Award is a leading initiative in education within the emirate aimed at celebrating qualitative achievements in the educational sector while encouraging all elements of the educational ecosystem to pursue development and innovation.
The 20th edition of the award affirms Ras Al Khaimah’s commitment to supporting education and motivating various components of the educational framework to remain diligent in their developmental efforts, thereby enhancing the quality of outcomes in line with the emirate’s aspirations for the future.
