Dr Ali Al Gafli’s Background and Experience
Dr Ali Al Gafli has an extensive background in the Ministry of Interior, having served as the Director General of the Minister of Interior’s office since 2022. His previous roles include Deputy Director General of Ministry Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Minister of Interior and Director of the Institutional Excellence Department. This wealth of experience equips him well for his new responsibilities.

Dr Al Gafli’s contributions to the field of policing have been recognised through the awards and medals he has received throughout his career. Among his accolades is the distinguished Sword of Honour from the Police College in Abu Dhabi. He holds a doctorate from the University of Manchester in policy development and management, along with a bachelor’s degree in police sciences from the Police College in Abu Dhabi.
