The Emirates Arabian Horse Society has officially adopted the schedule for the upcoming 2026-2027 season, featuring a comprehensive programme of competitions and auctions dedicated to the beauty of Arabian horses. This initiative, overseen by the Society, encompasses both local and international championships, alongside specialised auctions that are key highlights in the season’s agenda.
Season Kick-off and Key Events
The excitement begins on 3rd October 2026 at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, with events set to conclude on 11th April 2027. The programme boasts 17 competitions and events, including five international championships, and auctions held at the Sharjah Equestrian Club and the Ajman and Dubai studs. This rich assortment underscores the UAE’s position as a global hub for the breeding and showcasing of Arabian horses.
Auction Highlights
The season will open with the Sharjah Arabian Horse Auction on 3rd October, followed days later by the Dubai Arabian Horse Auction on 10th October. These events are pivotal for breeders and enthusiasts alike, showcasing the finest Arabian horses available in the region.
Championship Calendar
The championship programme kicks off on 15th October with the Sharjah International Festival for the Arabian Horse (Egyptian breed), followed by the Sharjah Arabian Horse Festival (Local Production) taking place from 16th to 18th October. The capital, Abu Dhabi, will host the National Championship of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society on 27th and 28th October, closely followed by the UAE National Championship for Arabian Horse Beauty from 31st October to 2nd November.
Continued Celebrations and Competitions
November will see the Ajman Arabian Horse Auction on 21st November, paving the way for the Eastern Region festivities, such as the Sharjah Kalba Arabian Horse Festival from 25th to 27th November. As December arrives, the action continues with the Fujairah International Arabian Horse Championship set for 4th to 6th December, succeeded by the Al Dhafra Arabian Horse Beauty Championship from 17th to 20th December, and the National Championship of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society – Al Dhafra from 25th to 27th December.
Exciting Start to 2027
January 2027 will feature the Ajman Arabian Horse Beauty Championship from 8th to 10th January. The season will then move into February, with the Abu Dhabi International Arabian Horse Beauty Championship (Title Show) scheduled during Ramadan from 18th to 21st February.
Final Events and Grand Closing
March will host the Al Sharq International Arabian Horse Beauty Championship from 19th to 21st, along with the 28th edition of the Sharjah International Arabian Horse Festival occurring from 25th to 27th March. To wrap up this grand season, the UAE’s Arabian Horse Breeders Championship will take place from 5th to 8th April 2027, culminating in the Arab Championship for Arabian Horse Breeders on 10th and 11th April 2027.
