Nakheel Awards Contracts Worth 750 Million Dirhams for “Palm Jebel Ali” Infrastructure
Nakheel, the development arm of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has announced the awarding of three major contracts worth over 750 million dirhams for the infrastructure works of the “Palm Jebel Ali” project. This ambitious initiative aims to enhance urban growth in Dubai, with expectations to complete the works in the fourth quarter of 2026. These contracts represent a significant step toward transforming “Palm Jebel Ali” into a leading waterfront destination that offers a range of modern amenities for residents and visitors.
Achievements of DBB Contracting
The contracts have been awarded to DBB Contracting LLC, which has a reliable track record in “Palm Jebel Ali.” The company has previously executed other infrastructure projects on the island, including the construction of public roads and related elements. These contracts are crucial for advancing civil engineering for a destination considered one of the key investment projects in Dubai.
Aspirational Vision for Dubai’s Future
The “Palm Jebel Ali” project is one of Nakheel’s most ambitious endeavors, reflecting a continued commitment to achieving the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). The objective is to build a new urban community that aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, embodying the transformation of Dubai into the best city to live, work, and visit. The project is expected to contribute to the expansion of the city’s urban footprint and enhance its coastal aesthetics.
Collaboration Between Nakheel and DBB Contracting
In this collaboration, Khaled Al Malek, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, stated: “The massive ‘Palm Jebel Ali’ project embodies Dubai’s ambition to redefine the concept of luxury waterfront living.” Eugenie Patrick Terblanche, General Manager of DBB Contracting, expressed pride in being part of this project, reaffirming their commitment to excellence and delivering a project that reflects Dubai’s future vision.
Scope of Work and Logistical Preparations
The infrastructure works of the project encompass all aspects related to utility connections, excavation, and filling, as well as the construction of roads and sidewalks. “Palm Jebel Ali” spans 13.4 kilometers and includes 16 fronds and a beach extending over 90 kilometers. This ambitious design not only enhances access to public beaches but also ensures an upscale living experience through mixed-use residential neighborhoods that combine housing and leisure.
Through these projects, Nakheel hopes to set a new standard for upscale living, where residents and visitors can enjoy distinguished recreational spaces within a smart and eco-friendly environment, supported by a transportation network that connects easily to other areas of Dubai.
