Hamriyah Municipality and Police Unite for New School Year Plans

In a proactive move to ensure a smooth start to the 2026–2027 academic year, the Municipality of Al Hamriyah has held a strategic meeting with the Al Hamriyah Comprehensive Police Station. This collaborative initiative aims to enhance coordination among relevant authorities and ensure maximum safety and traffic flow as students return to school.

Preparations for a Safe Academic Year

The meeting builds on recent efforts by the Municipality of Al Hamriyah in partnership with the Municipal Council, focusing on inspecting infrastructure projects, roadways, and associated facilities to ensure they are ready for the upcoming school year. A primary goal is to facilitate smooth traffic flow and elevate safety levels for students, parents, and road users.

Key Discussions on Traffic Management

During the meeting, officials discussed the readiness of routes and corridors leading to schools, as well as strategies to manage traffic during peak times. The focus was on improving vehicle and school bus circulation and setting up effective channels for ongoing coordination between the municipality and relevant entities. This approach aims to swiftly address any emerging needs or concerns as the academic year commences.

Emphasising Safety and Coordination

The meeting also highlighted the importance of a unified strategy during the busy initial days of the school year, which typically see increased vehicle movement around schools. By taking preemptive action, the authorities aim to support the safety of students, parents, and all road users, thus ensuring a well-organised and secure start to the educational process in Al Hamriyah.

Commitment to Integrated Efforts

His Excellency Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of the Municipality of Al Hamriyah, affirmed that the meeting reflects the municipality’s commitment to continuous collaboration with key stakeholders in the city. He stressed that the safety of students and the community is a top priority in preparations for the school year.

Al Shamsi stated, “At the Municipality of Al Hamriyah, we prioritise comprehensive readiness that encompasses not just roads and facilities but also close coordination with the Al Hamriyah Police and all relevant agencies. This ensures we welcome our students to a secure and organised environment, enhancing traffic flow and the safety of road users.”

A Vision of Teamwork

Reiterating the spirit of teamwork among local partners, Al Shamsi expressed confidence that institutional integration and proactive planning are essential for achieving high preparedness, especially during the intensified traffic of the first days of school. “Our goal is for our students to return to school in a safe, joyful, and reassuring manner,” he added.

He concluded by assuring that the municipality will continue coordinating with relevant authorities to monitor the readiness of roads, facilities, and services linked to the school environment. This ongoing collaboration aims to respond effectively to observations and requirements, ultimately enhancing the quality of life and safety in Al Hamriyah.

In closing, Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi congratulated students, parents, and educational staff on the start of the new academic year, wishing them a successful and rewarding year ahead. He encouraged students to embrace their studies with a positive spirit and renewed ambition, contributing to the nation’s future through learning and excellence.
