Under the slogan “Education and Entertainment in a Fun Summer Atmosphere,” “Dubai Communities” and “Ameen Service” launched the summer camp for 2025, entering its third season, with activities that began yesterday and will continue until the 24th of this month. The camp, held in Dubai schools in the Al Khawaneej and Al Barsha areas, aims to attract around 600 children aged between five and 15 years, providing them with an environment rich in educational and entertaining activities.
Objectives of the Summer Camp
“Dubai Communities” and “Ameen Service” focus on developing children’s artistic and life skills through this camp while also introducing them to their authentic traditions. Alia Al Shamlani, Director of “Dubai Communities,” emphasized that the camp represents an ideal opportunity for families to make the most of their holiday time, as it offers a stimulating educational environment close to their homes. She pointed out four main objectives that the camp seeks to achieve: creating an enjoyable outlet for children during the summer months, reducing financial burdens on parents with subsidized nominal fees, providing skill education under the guidance of Emirati talents, and reviving cultural heritage.
The Role of “Ameen Service”
In this context, Omar Al Falasi, General Supervisor of “Ameen Service,” expressed the importance of the summer camp, stating that it represents an opportunity to train children in life skills and make use of their free time during the holiday. According to him, the commitment to participate in the camp reflects a clear interest in social responsibility. He explained that the camp includes aspects to enhance security awareness in a simple and interactive manner, aiming to educate children about the role of “Ameen Service” in maintaining community safety.
Workshops and Diverse Activities
This year’s camp activities include specialized workshops in various fields, such as art and artificial intelligence, helping children understand the fundamentals of modern technology. The professional workshops also present real-life models from small national projects to support entrepreneurship. Alia Al Shamlani confirmed that this year also includes 16 recreational trips, with the participation of 90 volunteers, providing children with opportunities to interact and learn in an open and supportive environment.
Promoting Community Values
The organizers of the camp agreed that the importance of promoting community values among children goes beyond providing individual skills; it also encompasses developing awareness of their roles within their families and communities. They affirmed that the summer camp reflects a commitment to achieving goals related to educational development, good citizenship, and community service in general.
