As the much-anticipated return of Global Village nears, Dubai Police have issued a critical warning for residents to be vigilant against online scams. With the excitement surrounding the seasonal fair’s 31st season, potential visitors are reminded to safeguard themselves from fraudulent activities, particularly concerning the purchase of VIP packs.
A Yearly Celebration with a Twist
Global Village has become a beloved fixture in Dubai, captivating locals and tourists alike with its diverse food districts, eclectic merchandise from around the world, and vibrant entertainment options. The fair not only caters to culinary cravings and shopping desires but also elevates the experience each year with exclusive VIP offerings. These VIP packs grant visitors enticing perks such as priority parking, VIP entry tickets, Wonder Pass cards, and even a grand surprise worth Dhs31,000 for one fortunate buyer.
Stay Alert: A Surge in Scams
However, the popularity of these VIP packs has attracted not just fairgoers but also scammers looking to exploit the excitement. Dubai Police have warned residents against clicking on suspicious links often circulated through social media and other online platforms. Authorities are particularly concerned about clone websites that mimic legitimate pages, tricking users into relinquishing personal information and financial details.
How to Avoid Scams
Residents are urged to exercise caution when purchasing tickets and to verify the authenticity of any website or source before making transactions. The responsibility lies with individuals to remain alert and proactive in protecting themselves from potential scams. Global Village has confirmed that the VIP packs will be sold exclusively through the official Coca-Cola Arena’s website. Pre-sales are set to occur from September 21 to 25, with general sales commencing on September 26. Other ticket options and packages will be available directly through the Global Village website or mobile app starting in October.
VIP Pack Options and Pricing
This season offers four main VIP pack choices, catering to a variety of preferences and budgets. Prices for these packs begin at Dhs1,890, with the Silver Pack priced at Dhs1,890, the Gold Pack at Dhs2,490, the Platinum Pack at Dhs3,490, and the top-tier Diamond Pack available for Dhs7,900. To secure their preferred packs, visitors should be aware that priority booking fees apply, ranging from Dhs200 for the Silver Pack to Dhs1,000 for the Diamond Pack.
As excitement builds for the fair’s reopening, it is crucial for all attendees to confirm the credibility of their purchasing platforms. With a little diligence, residents can enjoy the thrilling return of Global Village while steering clear of fraudulent schemes.
