In a recent announcement, the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) confirmed the conclusion of passenger transfer operations to Tel Aviv following the temporary suspension of Flydubai flights to this destination. Since the resumption of services on Friday, October 2, 2026, 37 flights have successfully transported 7,479 passengers from Dubai International Airport to Ben Gurion Airport.
Alternative Travel Options Implemented
The GCAA explained that local authorities have issued permits for Israeli carriers to operate flights to Dubai. This arrangement, along with services provided by Etihad Airways, serves as an alternative during the disruption of Flydubai’s usual scheduled flights, ensuring that travellers have viable travel options during this period.
Coordination for Affected Passengers
Furthermore, the GCAA confirmed that the coordination process for returning passengers who were stranded has been completed successfully, allowing them to reach their destinations without further delays.
Ongoing Flights by Etihad Airways
The authority noted that Etihad Airways continues to operate its flights to Tel Aviv as scheduled, thereby broadening the travel options available to passengers.
Continuous Coordination with Airlines
The General Civil Aviation Authority continues to coordinate with all relevant stakeholders and airlines to support the continuity of air transport and ensure excellent service for passengers during this period.
