The minister outlined a significant transformation in the roles of both Saudi and international real estate developers. He elaborated that the Kingdom’s five major cities are projected to need over 1.5 million housing units by 2030, with 731,000 required specifically in Riyadh. This need reinforces Saudi Arabia’s status as the largest urban development market in the region.
Al-Hogail mentioned that initial real estate agreements surpassing SR161.2 billion ($43 billion) are expected to be formalized during the first few days of Cityscape Global 2025, highlighting robust investor confidence and the dynamic nature of the Saudi real estate market.
Organizers are optimistic that further deals will emerge throughout the exhibition as demand continues to escalate.
The minister also pointed out the swift digital metamorphosis of the industry, noting that Saudi Arabia’s real estate sector has fully transitioned to digital operations. The sector now leverages PropTech solutions, artificial intelligence, and modern construction approaches, including augmented reality, to enhance both planning and project execution.

This development not only elevates the Kingdom’s profile but also positions it as one of the pioneering nations establishing a digital real estate framework that aligns with official records.
Al-Hogail concluded that Cityscape Global reflects Saudi Arabia’s aspiration to construct smart cities while advancing a global real estate economy that emphasizes innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.
He stated that the exhibition serves as a crucial national platform where stakeholders can converge to explore and shape the future of the sector.
