Since its inception, the fair has undergone significant development, transforming into a key literary and cultural event that offers a wealth of content across various fields of knowledge, arts, and sciences.
A Legacy of Cultural Development
Al Mur shared his experience of witnessing the fair’s evolution over several decades, expressing joy at its current stature, which he attributes to the unwavering support of wise leadership and the relentless efforts of generations committed to cultural advancement.
Exhibitor Experience and Organisational Excellence
The selection of Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) as the venue has enhanced the event’s environment, allowing for a well-structured distribution of exhibition spaces that enables a distinguished representation of various publishing houses. This arrangement facilitates smooth navigation between the booths, enriching the overall experience for participants.
Cultural Programme Highlights
Al Mur noted that the accompanying cultural programme has been meticulously organised, bringing together esteemed guests from the UAE, the Gulf region, the Arab world, and beyond. The programme features prominent literary and cultural talents, providing attendees with invaluable insights and access to a treasure trove of knowledge.
Recognising Emirati Cultural Figures
This year, the fair has introduced the “Emirati Icons” initiative, aimed at documenting the pioneering experiences of influential cultural figures in the UAE. Al Mur expressed admiration for this initiative, which seeks to establish a pioneering cultural and national tradition. He emphasized the importance of celebrating successive generations of Emirati culture, enabling future generations to learn from and be inspired by their achievements in literature, culture, thought, and the arts.
