The Reveal of Dubai‘s Virtual Family and the Vote Selects the Name “Latifa” for the Girl

After an engaging vote, the name “Latifa” was chosen, receiving 43% of the votes to become the main virtual character. This initiative not only showcases Dubai’s technological advancement but also highlights the spirit of active community participation.

Community Engagement with the Initiative

Dubai Digital expressed gratitude to community members for their overwhelming response to the interactive initiative, with around 14,000 participants in the voting process. The results confirmed the popular choice, with “Latifa” receiving 43% of the votes, surpassing “Mira,” which garnered 37%, and “Dubai,” which received 20%. This engagement demonstrates the eagerness of Dubai residents to participate in decision-making regarding future projects.

Introducing “Latifa’s” Virtual Family

On the occasion of announcing the name, Dubai Digital revealed the members of the Emirati virtual family, created using artificial intelligence technologies. In a short video shared across social media platforms, “Latifa” was introduced to the public along with her family, consisting of her father “Mohammed,” her mother “Salama,” and her brother “Rashid.” This family represents a digital model that aligns with the values of Emirati society and reflects its diversity.

Goals of the New Initiative

This initiative is part of a series of qualitative updates launched by Dubai Digital as part of the “Year of Community” proclaimed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The goal is to enhance the concept of participation and encourage constructive communication among community members. The new virtual family aims to serve as “digital ambassadors,” presenting storytelling content that showcases digital life in Dubai and contributing to the enhancement of technological culture in a way that resonates with people’s lives and solidifies the concepts of digital transformation.
