Sharjah Free Zones Win 4 Awards for Financial Excellence
In a significant achievement that reflects the commitment of Sharjah Free Zones to financial performance and transparency standards, the Sharjah International Airport Free Zone Authority and the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority have won four prestigious awards during the sixth edition of the Financial Excellence Awards. Organized by the Sharjah Department of Finance, these awards highlight the ongoing efforts of both authorities to implement the highest financial standards and enhance governance and compliance principles, making Sharjah Free Zones a role model in the region.
Prestigious Awards Reflecting Financial Excellence
The Hamriyah Free Zone received the award for “Leading Independent Entity in Revenue Standards Implementation,” while the Sharjah International Airport Free Zone Authority won the award for “Leading Independent Entity in Accounting and Taxation Standards Implementation.” Additionally, Mohammed Al Marzouqi from the Sharjah International Airport Free Zone was honored with the “Outstanding New Financial Employee from Independent Entities” award, while Diego Balakrishnan from the Hamriyah Free Zone received the “Outstanding Tax Analyst from Independent Entities” award. This recognition is a clear embodiment of the continuous efforts towards achieving excellence in financial performance.

His Excellency Saud Salem Al Marzouqi, Director of the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority and the Sharjah International Airport Free Zone Authority, stated that these awards represent a true culmination of ongoing efforts to develop financial and administrative systems.
