The Abu Dhabi Center for Arabic Language has launched an exciting initiative titled “صيفنا بالعربية,” aiming to engage children and youth aged 8 to 17 through creative and interactive activities. Scheduled to run from July to August 2025, this program is designed to highlight the beauty of the Arabic language while catering to the interests of the younger generation. By introducing various events that marry tradition with modernity, “صيفنا بالعربية” seeks to foster a deeper appreciation for Arabic among its participants.
Promoting Arabic Culture Through Interactive Experiences
This initiative is a significant part of the center’s broader commitment to establishing Arabic as a vibrant, living language filled with creativity and knowledge. The program will provide educational and interactive experiences aimed at enhancing linguistic and expressive skills among youth. It will also strengthen their connection to cultural identity, aligning with the UAE’s goals of supporting creativity and empowering young talents while reinforcing national and community values.
Diverse Events and Workshops
The “صيفنا بالعربية” initiative promises a wide array of engaging activities, with highlights including a “كاريوكي بالعربية” event in collaboration with the “أنغامي” platform. Set to take place on July 10 and 17 at Manarat Al Saadiyat, this innovative artistic and entertainment event aims to revive the aesthetics of the Arabic language through singing and vocal interaction. It will help develop pronunciation and rhythm while building confidence among participants aged 10 to 17, allowing them to select songs from a curated list featuring various Arabic musical styles.
Workshops and Reading Sessions
Additionally, the program includes a series of workshops specifically designed to enhance children’s writing and linguistic skills, which will be hosted inside the Children’s Library at the Cultural Complex in Abu Dhabi. Throughout July and August, the Cultural Complex will also hold several reading sessions for children aged 9 to 12, promoting literacy and a love for the Arabic language.
Engaging Young Minds with Competitions
As part of this initiative, an introductory session on the “أصدقاء اللغة العربية” competition will take place at Al Wathba Library. This session aims to inform children and youth aged 8 to 17 about how to participate, encouraging them to engage with the Arabic language through ongoing cultural and intellectual challenges organized throughout the year.
With “صيفنا بالعربية,” the Abu Dhabi Center for Arabic Language is forging a path for youth to explore and celebrate their linguistic heritage.
