Abu Dhabi’s Directorate of Traffic and Patrols, part of the Abu Dhabi Police, recently participated in the “ADNOC Distribution” forum, themed “Together We Make Every Journey Safe.” This event marks a significant effort in their initiative to enhance road safety awareness and promote a culture of safe driving, while fostering positive behaviours amongst all road users.
Promoting Road Safety Culture
Brigadier Ahmed Nasser Al Zaydi, Director of Traffic Engineering and Road Safety, highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships with national institutions in the arena of traffic awareness. He stated, “Spreading safety culture among employees and community members contributes to improving awareness of safe behaviours and strengthens adherence to traffic rules and regulations. This supports our efforts to reduce accidents and protect road users.”
Educational Workshops and Discussions
As part of their involvement, the Directorate delivered an educational workshop for ADNOC Distribution employees focusing on road safety. This workshop covered several topics related to safe driving and compliance with safety conditions. Additionally, they actively participated in a discussion seminar concerning the safety of road users, which emphasised the importance of promoting positive behaviours and increasing awareness of traffic hazards.
