On the occasion of World Charity Day, the “Make-A-Wish” Foundation celebrated a significant milestone by granting wishes to 18 children from Gaza residing in the Humanitarian City. This event marks a continuation of their partnership with the UAE Humanitarian City, bringing the total wishes fulfilled since the collaboration began in 2024 to an impressive 110.
A Heartwarming Celebration
The event, featuring a variety of entertainment segments, aimed to bring joy to the children and their families. Attending were Mona Al Jaber, a member of the board of trustees of the “Make-A-Wish” Foundation, alongside various representatives from the UAE Humanitarian City. The gathering not only facilitated the granting of wishes but also provided memorable moments filled with joy and hope for the children and their families.

Mona Al Jaber expressed her happiness at being present with the children from Gaza during the event: “We are delighted to be among our community and share in their joy today. Since the onset of our collaboration in 2024, we have successfully granted 110 wishes to children from Gaza, each carrying its unique story and joy.” She added that while the moments of wish fulfillment may be brief, they hold significant meaning for the children and their families, creating lasting memories. “We will not stop here; we will continue our efforts to grant more wishes and remain a part of their happiness,” she declared.

Further expressing gratitude, Mona thanked the UAE Humanitarian City and all involved for their unwavering support, as well as Mubarak Falah Al Qahtani, the spokesperson for the Humanitarian City, for his commitment to the welfare of children and their families.
In response, Mubarak Falah Al Qahtani acknowledged the importance of such collaborative initiatives, stating how they grant children moments of joy and hope while strengthening the impact of humanitarian partnerships. He also extended his appreciation to Sheikha Sheikha bint Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the chairperson of the “Make-A-Wish” Foundation, for her ongoing dedication to supporting children and encouraging continued collaboration to fulfill the wishes of these children and their families.
